Indian in the Cupboard

Lance and Spencer are reading their very first chapter book! O.K., so Brian and I are reading it to them, but they love it! I always forget how much we can learn from books, whether fiction or not, and have been reminded of how extremely important it is to read to my children. Lance has learned several new words, one of which being teepee. He asked what it was and Brian drew him a picture, the larger version on the right. Then Lance drew his own teepee on the left. Once again we're proud of our little artist.

I found this picture today, I'm pretty sure it's from earlier in the week. I'm also pretty sure it's a motorcycle. So hilariously cute.

His drawings do have a lot of detail. Thomas does the same thing. It's funny how their minds work...it must be those MIT genes!?!

I agree. I remember when I was younger my parents bought me a "new kids on the block" poster and a sketch pad. I was so in love with them. I used to sit in front of the poster and try to draw them everyday. I finally gave up, I just don't have that artistic eye or talented hand. haha. It was hilarious. Brian is quite an artist himself, so I'm giving him credit for Lance's talent! Hopefully he gets the brains too. :)

WOW, he is totally an artist! I'm way impressed. Did he just turn 4? Tha is amazing. Hey V, what part of Florida are you guys living in? We are thinking about taking the kids to Disney World for Christmas. Would you be around? Also, we just went to Brents 10 yr reunion. It was SOOOO fun. I wanted to invite you if you wanted, to stay at my parents house next year, if by chance you made it back. Love ya! Hope to see you....sometime..
